A little sparkle

Every girl could use a little sparkle in her life...

This mirror is a must have or should I say a must have if I had the money and my other half would never find out how much it cost. You can get it here if you don't mind paying $800 for a mirror. I love all the pieces but they are way to rich for my blood.

Goodnight Sweetheart

Every room in our home is getting some form of a redo. We were lucky enough to get my Dad to paint most of the house (Thanks, Dad). We have made little upgrades like changing switch plates and touching up the trim. We have made big changes like tiling the kitchen and putting in wood floors on the complete first floor (Again Thanks, Dad). The Master bedroom was left behind but I have slowly been making progress.

Love Affair

I am having a love affair. My husband knows all about it but he doesn't like it. I can't say that I blame him the affair consumes me. I think about it all the time. Its GOODWILL! I love Goodwill. The treasures you can find if your willing to sift thru the junk. Here is an example of something I found.

 

A couple coats of Heirloom White later and it looked like this. I just love it. It will end up in the foyer as soon as I find a mirror to go with it. I'm not to worried I'm sure Goodwill will not disappoint.

Making a house a home...

No one really tells you that when you close on your first house you still have a long way to go before you make it a home. My husband and I have been in our house for a little over a year now and we are still unpacking. We have 10 different projects going at once and I have new ideas all the time. this blog is a place where I will talk about all those projects. The good, the bad and the ugly.(Trust me there will be UGLY.)

 Little by little I will update you on how we make this house our HOME.
